praying for you

Hi!
Just popping in to share a card...sorry about the quality of the photos...in a hurry today.

I used my PTI goodness for this card.

I know some of you must have noticed that I'm just not around as much....I just don't have enough time since I pretty much started 'doodling' full time. I decided to take a break from designing for DHD. With 3 kids running around...I just can't do everything I'd like to do. So it's illustrating that I'll mostly be focusing on...but I will do my best to pop by blog land. I have also received emails asking for buttons...I will be adding some more to my Etsy shop asap. Thanks for the interest!! ;)
Have a great day!!

Croatia

Happy Independence Day Hrvatska!

I found some great pictures on the internet of Croatia....

Zagreb

One of my FAVOURITE cities...Zadar!!

Zadar

This is the bell tower of St. Anselm's church in the city of Nin (my mom is from Nin)...the bell tower is from the 12 century I believe...it's the church I got married in.

St. Anselm

And this BEAUTIFUL church is right next to the one I got married in!!! St. Križ is from the 9th Century. It takes my breath away every time I see it!

St. Križ

And this is 'our beach'.

Sumpetar

My dad use to wear a shirt that said....
'Kiss me...I'm Croatian!'

Have a great day!!!

Betsy's challenge

Hi!

I just LOVE Betsy!! So I had no choice but to play along with her challenge!
And this is what I came up with...

This is the colour palette I chose...it's pretty hard for me to match up colours because I use my local craft store's cardstock here in Zagreb...but I did my best.

I used some of my SRM stickers and QuicKutz's Sticky Note Mini Alphabet Set to create my sentiment.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! ;)

materials - digi stamp (HA Big Owl), cardstock, copics, pattern paper (Basic Grey, PTI), SRM stickers, QuicKutz Mini Alphabet set, Spellbinders (scallop circle die, circle die), zig/zag scissors, PTI duo distress inks.

last of the teacher's gifts

Hi!

And it's the last day of school!!.....and the last of the teacher's gifts. I made two of these for my daughter's daycare 'teta's'....in the Fall Mia will be a preschooler preparing for grade 1.
I can't give enough love to Teta Sandra and Teta Snježana but I can give them a few goodies.....

Just a little something to get their summer rolling. You'll notice the Oreo's!!! Croatia didn't get Oreo's until recently.....I have gone YEARS without Oreo's and then all of a sudden...a store called Muller opens and there it is!!! And all of a sudden I'm 10 pounds heavier!! ;)

And like the tag says....THANK YOU.... to the Teta's and teachers for their hardwork!!
God bless!

teacher's gift

Hi!
Well....I survived grade 1!!! ;) I'm so proud of my son...he did just FANTASTIC even with his little problem of not knowing how to speak Croatian 100%.

I worked as a teacher for a few years and have to say they don't get enough love!! It's a demanding job but so rewarding. I don't think I'd ever go and do it again but I learned so much the years I taught...btw I taught English (as a foreign language).

So here's a gift for my son's first grade teacher....

I used some of my new PTI goodies that my goddaughter brought back with her from her trip to Washington. I avoided the ridiculous international shipping costs!

Doesn't my handmade 'woodgrain' button go great with PTI's wood grain embossing plate!! ;)

I found these cute jars on sale....only had 2 but I'm hoping they will be getting more. I'm tempted to spray paint the lids....or maybe I should just leave it...I've got this 'chrome' spray paint...I'll see...

I'll be back with some more teacher's gifts...I've got my daughter's teacher's gift at daycare/preschool.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Hi!

I made two tags today using this set from My Cute Stamps.

Fill up a paper bag with some sweet treats and close it up with this tag....I think kids would dig it!! ;)
I added glossy accents to the space ship.

And here's the second tag....I'm just loving these cloud dies by PTI!!

I used the stars from My Cute Stamps Spaceship and Robots set to create the strip of pattern paper by just randomly stamping the stars all over...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!

materials - stamps (My Cute Stamps, PTI, Hero Arts), Pattern Paper (PTI), dies (PTI), ink (colorbox chalk ink, memento black ink),digi kit (DHD),  string, handmade polymer clay button, wooden clothes pin

it's gonna be a busy month..

Hi!
Monday already!!! I popped in to announce the winner of my digi stamp Harry but before I do I want to share a project I did. I wanted to add some colour to this frame in my daughters room...she LOVES pink and has now added red as a fav too.

So as you can see on the photo I used Memento's Lady bug on pink cardstock (that I traced and cut out) and stamped polka dots (I used PTI's Polka Dot Basics II...LOVE LOVE it) all over it.

Mia just LOVES how it turned out!

And now the winner...........
