Hello!

I want to thank you for supporting me and my little stamp company in 2015! I have high hopes for 2016 and hope you will continue to stick around. :) You probably noticed the blog is not called Plain Jane anymore. I will talk more about this change tomorrow so I hope you pop by.

As for you my dear friends I pray with all my heart you will find happiness, good heath, peace and love in 2016.

Green People

I always try my best to use natural products or better yet products without any nasty toxic ingredients because there are many 'man made' ingredients that aren't harmful. I was so excited to win Green People's Prime and Define Lip Collection giveaway! Yay me! :)

The collection includes everything you see below.

3 lip crayons
Sangria (rich burnished red with subtle copper shimmer)
Praline (neutral, matte brown)
Blossom (delicate floral pink with shimmer)

 Enrich & Enhance lip primer

 lip crayon sharpener.

I love the lip crayons. They go on smooth and aren't drying for a pencil especially if you prep your lips with their lip primer.

I'm wearing  Sangria on my lips and let me tell you it is pigmented but you can totally sheer it out by blotting your lips a few times or rubbing it in with your finger for a stained look. It's pretty gorgeous!

left to right - Blossom, Praline, Sangria

My only issue with these lip crayons is that there aren't enough colours available...I would love these crayons to come in mauves, pinks, orange, etc.

Quick hello!

One of my new year's resolutions is send out cards. I know it sounds funny considering I'm making cards all the time (I usually donate my cards). This one is going to my sister in law in Canada (it'll probably get there too late...but better late than never!

Very CAS card. I used my Cheers! stamp set which is perfect for birthday cards.
A few more days left to take advantage of my 20% off sale!

merry and bright gift wrapping

This morning I'm wrapping up some chocolates for teachers (tomorrow's the last day of school! Yoohoo!!). I used my Stripes and Dots stamp set and stamped dots on the wrapping paper. I heat embossed the sentiment from Warm Wishes. I have the worst white embossing powder...I bought it here in Zagreb (never heard of the brand) but it's so coarse (the powder)!

diy xmas gifts

Hello!

I'm back with a few diy gift ideas. I think one of the best gifts you can give is food! Baked goodies are always perfect! A batch of yummy cookies paired with some quality tea or coffee should leave the receiver very happy! And of coarse if you're a card maker than a set of handmade cards is a lovely gift too!

Here are some other ideas.

I LOVE this.

Perfect for bakers!

Such a cute idea. Pair this with a nice bottle of wine.

And for those who like to take notes an adorable handmade notebook.

Hope you pop by tomorrow for a special post...it's my birthday!

I'm back with some more xmas gift ideas.

I LOVE the pj's at Oysho! Never ever buy them for myself....I always sleep in old t-shirts but I wouldn't mind getting one for a gift! :)

LOVE these mugs at Anthropologie.

I think books make great gifts...obviously for those who like to read. This one is on my wish list.

Etsy is a wonderful place to do your gift shopping. This locket necklace is so sweet. LOVE it!

xmas stocking fillers

I thought I would share some Christmas gift ideas, perfect stocking fillers. This is all about skin care....which I'm kinda obsessed with. I love body lotions and butters, oils, lip balms......

First up how adorable is this little make up bag!

I love these little sets which you can also make into seperate gift. Pair one up with some yummy chocolates or tea....perfect! :)

I bought a few of these Caudalie duo's for gifts.

Everyone could use some lip balm during the winter month. My favourites are Hurraw, Burt's Bees and EOS.

I LOVE Weleda's Skin Food. I literally put this anywhere my skin is feeling dehydrated, dry or sensitive...I'm talking face, hands, feet, elbows....pair this baby with a lip balm and it makes a sweet gift!

This 'wonder' balm is on my shopping list. A great multi purpose natural balm.

My daughter is only 10 but I see she's becoming very interested in my make up. I let her wear some for fun of coarse which got me to thinking about the teenage girls in my family who are just starting out in make up a cute and eco friendly brush set like this one is perfect. I would have loved to received a gift like this when I was a teenager but my father was really, really strict and I wasn't allowed to wear a stitch of make up. I started when I was 19.

Tis' the season to bust out your gold and glittery nail polishes! :)

I'm sending my mom a Christmas card and I added a few Lavera face masks and chocolates. Not too bulky to send through the mail.

I also LOVE Apivita face masks and this is one of my favourites.

I blogged about this body oil before, it's smells so good and your skin is velvet AND it's affordable!

Mia's been taking baths lately and I'm going to surprise her with some Lush bath balls.

I'll share some more ideas tomorrow. And I just want to say, while gift giving is fun it's NOT the reason for Christmas. I really try to stress this to my kids. It's very easy to get carried away and honestly stress ourselves out especially if you're on a tight budget. That's why I will also share some handmade gift ideas too.
